How will I use and store your data?
Your privacy is of utmost importance. I am currently taking steps to become fully GDPR compliant.
I will never share your personal details with anyone. If I need to share your details with a 3rd party for example your doctor, I will always ask for your permission first.
With your permission, I may contact you via text message to confirm appointments. I do not use any third party email marketing programme and do not send out newsletters. With your permission, I may send you emails directly from my inbox about specific wellbeing advice, for example stretches or use of a foam roller, or to assist you in answering any questions or queries you may have submitted. Your details are not passed on to any third parties.
All handwritten personal data (consultation form) that I collect about you is stored in a fireproof locked filing cabinet under a personal file under your name. Case notes written after appointments are written and stored electronically. My electronic devices are password protected.
I will hold this data for as long as deemed necessary by my insurance company. I will then shred any paper files and I will delete you from my contacts list on all my electronic devices.
The information you supply by filling in any form on this website will be emailed directly to me and not stored on this website. I use your information to give you the best possible service.
View, change or request deletion of your personal information
At any time, you can request to view, update, delete your personal details or report a data breach, if you are concerned that one a has taken place. Please contact me by e-mail to make any requests regarding the personal details I hold for you or to report a data breach. You can also contact ico.org.uk for the latter. You can read more about your data protection rights here. Your records are accessed by myself, for clinical purposes. I am legally bound by my insurance company to hold your case notes for 7 years. I can therefore only shred the case notes 7 years after your last appointment.
